Project Description

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 redevelopment is a nine-storey, 108-unit residential development in Sault Ste. Marie designed to provide accessible housing primarily for veterans, their families, and Legion members. The building also provides a new home for Branch 25, including a museum, gathering hall, and community amenities.

Built on the existing Legion property, the project combines residential suites with shared amenity spaces and community functions. The development also preserved and enhanced the cairn commemorating the former Wawanosh Girls Residential School located on the property.

TULLOCH supported the redevelopment through coordinated engineering, geomatics, environmental, materials testing, and construction-related services.

The project and team were recognized as the 2025 ICF Builder Award winner in the MultiFamily category. ICF Builder Magazine lists the completed development at 154,780 square feet with a project cost of $32.7 million.
