Project Description
The Fort Creek Aqueduct is a key component of Sault Ste. Marie’s stormwater drainage system. After approximately 100 years of service, the existing aqueduct had deteriorated beyond its useful life and required replacement to improve drainage capacity, reduce flood risk, and meet current design standards.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie retained TULLOCH to support the project from environmental assessment and hydraulic review through detailed design, tendering, construction, and closeout. The work included replacement of the aging aqueduct, drainage improvements, structural design, geotechnical investigations, surveying, materials testing, and construction-phase oversight.
TULLOCH’s phased approach helped the City modernize critical stormwater infrastructure while managing construction impacts and maintaining access through the surrounding area.
