Lanfine Wind

Location: Oyen, AB
Discipline: Geomatics
Markets: Energy
Client: Pattern Energy
Capacity: 35 Vestas 4.3MW turbines for approximately 150MW

Completed: 2022

TULLOCH was contracted to support Pattern Energy with engineering surveys for the Lanfine Wind Power Project. The main scope of work included retracement of legal boundaries for the project, mapping of the constraints including permanent features and buried utilities, and compilation of existing features along with the design information for the project. The dataset will form the base plan for the project and allow for detailed design, analysis and construction. TULLOCH also created hundreds of maps. These are important to support land conveyance and stewardship.

TULLOCH has provided this type of service to renewable energy clients for over 15 years. We have honed the craft to provide exceptional value and support for these exciting projects.

  • Lanfine Base Plan which will include the compilation of an aerial topographic survey, buried utility investigation, legal boundary verification, planimetric mapping and terrain modelling. This information will then be compiled with the Lanfine Wind design dataset to complete the Pre-Engineering Site Survey.
  • Field Verified Crossing Exhibits. This survey will include survey of the buried utilities that are in proximity to or crossing a Lanfine design component. A crossing plan will be created for each instance and will support negotiation with the facility owner.
  • Individual Ownership Plan Package (IOP). This survey will support landowner negotiation and land conveyance with the various landowners at the Lanfine Wind Project Site. TULLOCH will create an IOP for every titled parcel that contains Lanfine infrastructure.
  • Control Network. TULLOCH will position approximately 10 control monuments throughout the site to support the construction team with their work.
