Project Description
The Waaban Crossing Bridge is a 1.2 km multi-span bridge over the Cataraqui River in Kingston, featuring a central arch and a multi-use pedestrian and cycling pathway.
The project was the first infrastructure project in Canada to be designed and constructed using an Integrated Project Delivery model. TULLOCH served as the Geotechnical Engineer-of-Record, providing investigation, design, analysis, instrumentation, and monitoring for bridge foundations, approach works, retaining systems, and temporary construction features.
Our work addressed complex on-shore and off-shore ground conditions while providing geotechnical input throughout design and construction.
