Project Description
The Waaban Crossing Bridge, formerly the Third Crossing Bridge, is a 1.2 km multi-span bridge over the Cataraqui River in Kingston, featuring a central arch and a multi-use pedestrian and cycling pathway.
The project was Canada’s first infrastructure project designed and constructed using an Integrated Project Delivery model. TULLOCH served as the Geotechnical Engineer-of-Record, providing investigation, design, analysis, instrumentation, and monitoring for bridge foundations, approach works, retaining systems, and temporary construction features.
Our work addressed complex on-shore and off-shore ground conditions while providing geotechnical input throughout design and construction.
