Project Description

The Lake Superior Link Transmission Line is described as a 430 km transmission project between Wawa and Thunder Bay. Construction access through remote terrain required planning for corridor access, crane access for large tower erection, local access roads for smaller equipment, and laydown or fly-yard locations.

TULLOCH supported SNC-Lavalin with right-of-way and permanent-access-road planning and civil design. Field reviews assessed existing and potential roads and trails, while deliverables documented required upgrades, watercourse crossings, and preliminary access layouts supported by GIS mapping.
