Project Description

TULLOCH has supported various clients for Hydro One projects during the Early Contractor Involvement phase, delivering comprehensive environmental, mapping, and GIS services for thousands of kilometres of new and existing transmission corridors across northern Ontario, including Waasigan, A8K/A9K, A7L/A6P, and Lake Superior Link.

Scope of Services

  • Environmental assessments, constraint mapping, and route selection
  • Aquatic habitat assessments, fish community studies, and fish compensation planning to support permitting and compliance
  • Wildlife studies, field surveys, monitoring, and mitigation strategies for protected species
  • Desktop and field assessments of watercourse crossings to support hydrology modelling and environmental approvals
  • Preparation of Existing Conditions Reports and technical support for Endangered Species Act registration
  • Regulatory permitting and coordination, including federal, provincial, and municipal approvals
  • GIS mapping and aerial imagery of natural features
  • Corridor constructability reviews, and access route and water crossing planning
  • Impact management, mitigation planning, and compliance documentation and rock classifications
