Project Description
A major steel manufacturer required replacement of a slag granulator stack after concerns were identified with the structural integrity of the existing system. The work involved safely removing the deteriorated stack and developing a replacement that could be installed within an active industrial environment.
TULLOCH assessed the existing structure, developed temporary support measures for demolition, and designed the new stack and its permanent support system. Our team also prepared the detailed drawings required for demolition, fabrication, lifting, installation, and construction coordination.
Field reviews during demolition and installation helped confirm that the work was completed in accordance with the design intent and applicable safety requirements.
