Bleeder Stack Support Reinforcement

Project Overview
Services: Engineering, Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering
Sector: Industrial & Manufacturing
Project Description
Significant corrosion was identified at the base of an industrial bleeder stack, including deterioration of anchor bolts and stiffener plates. Because operating constraints and limited space made immediate base repairs impractical, an alternative support strategy was developed to stabilize the stack without disrupting operations.
TULLOCH supported the project from existing-condition capture through detailed design and construction. 3D LiDAR scanning documented the stack and surrounding infrastructure, while structural analysis informed a supplemental support system using struts and ground anchors approximately 40 feet above grade.
The final design addressed connection details, fabrication requirements, and construction coordination, with TULLOCH continuing to provide technical support through shop-drawing review, site instructions, and as-built updates.
