Project Description
Boilermakers Local 128 developed a new 17,000-square-foot union hall and skilled trades training facility in Sudbury to expand training capacity for boilermakers and welders across Northern Ontario. The facility includes administrative offices, training spaces, and a dedicated welding area with 16 welding booths, doubling the capacity of Local 128’s previous Sudbury facility.
Located at 771 Chalmers Street, the development was constructed on a steep site that required a tiered approach to the building, parking areas, and stormwater management. The completed facility provides Local 128 with a larger regional base for apprenticeship, welding, safety, and skills training.
TULLOCH supported the project through civil engineering design, surveying, inspection, and contract administration, working with Centreline Architecture and TESC Contracting to advance the facility through construction and completion.
