Air Dryer Piping and Supports

Project Overview
Services: Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering
Sector: Industrial & Manufacturing
Completed: 2025
Project Description
A major steel manufacturer introduced a new air-dryer system within its Cold Mill to improve compressed-air quality. The upgrade included two 19 m³ air receivers, a new filter, and a dryer integrated into the existing DN200 compressed-air system.
TULLOCH reviewed existing reference information and developed a coordinated 3D model of the surrounding structure, piping, and equipment. The model was used to refine equipment placement, anchorage requirements, pipe routing, connections, and support locations before the final design was issued.
The completed package brought the mechanical and structural requirements together into coordinated construction documentation, including equipment layouts, P&IDs, support details, spool drawings, and foundation design for the new air receivers.
