PACMAN Battery Facility

Project Overview
Location: Kingston, ON
Client: Worley for Umicore
Services: Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering
Sector: Industrial & Manufacturing
Project Description
TULLOCH supported Worley during construction of the since-suspended C$2.8 billion electric-vehicle battery materials facility near Kingston, Ontario. The planned facility was intended to produce cathode active materials and precursor cathode active materials for up to one million electric vehicles per year.
TULLOCH deployed two full-time field crews and a full-time drafter/data processor to support measurement, verification, quantity reporting, and survey quality control as construction progressed. The team established high-precision control and a local coordinate system, helping reduce survey rework and provide reliable progress quantities.
Scope of Services
- High-precision construction control network
- Establishment of a local coordinate system
- Quality-control verification of contractor survey work
- Quantity and volume calculations
