It's time to celebrate! Last night, TULLOCH was It's time to celebrate!

Last night, TULLOCH was recognized at the Ontario Engineering Project Awards (OEPA) with an Internal Innovation Award, highlighting our philanthropic and community engagement efforts.

Our OEPA application focused on the SOLD-OUT Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni game in Huntsville, Ontario, on October 22, 2022. This recap video was part of our submission.

TULLOCH was the platinum sponsor for the event and, together with the Rotary Club of Huntsville, created an evening of entertainment and fun for all ages. The event sold 2,300 tickets and raised $55,000. The event proceeds are being used to support the ongoing efforts to establish a year-round outdoor sports pad at Lion's Lookout in Huntsville.

In addition to the platinum-level sponsorship, TULLOCH's event involvement was primarily media and marketing driven. Our group's skillset was a tremendous asset in leading the promotion and coverage of the live event. The team's numerous hours spent in the lead-up to the game, during, and afterwards, were all donated to support the event.

During interviews with Toronto Maple Leafs' icons Rick Vaive and Wendel Clark, both said they supported the event's overall mission. At the same time, the Alumni Team's coordinator mentioned it was the largest turnout for any game since they started playing again in the past six months. In follow-up discussions with Rotary Club member Paul Evans in preparation for our OEPA submission, he expressed his overwhelming gratitude to TULLOCH for our unwavering support of the event through the postponements and other challenges.

Thank you to the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Ontario (ACEC-ON) for the recognition and a great night!

The complete list of winners can be found here: https://acecontario.ca/news-item/2023oepa/

Unfortunately, we ran out of gas in the third period of both games, losing 3-2 and 4-3 in two hard-fought contests in the round-robin. The Trail Blazers record fell to 7-3 in 2023.

Congratulations to @wspcanada for taking home the hardware for the second consecutive year! Three new teams participated this year, with @morrhershfield, @hh_angus, and @d.m.willsassociates joining the longstanding WSP, JD Barnes, 4Sight and TULLOCH teams in the one-day event.

In 2020 the Calgary Stampede and the Calgary Munic In 2020 the Calgary Stampede and the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation unveiled the design for the expanded and improved BMO Convention and Trade Centre in Calgary. The project has made significant progress since, with completion aimed for 2024. The 565,000 sq. ft. expansion will more than double the size of the venue, transforming it into Western Canada’s largest convention centre and creating new spaces for conferences, meetings, exhibitions and consumer shows. The project ranks 91 on the Top 100 Largest Canadian Infrastructure Projects list at a value of $500 Million.

TULLOCH worked with Walters Group, providing survey support to position the structural components throughout the building. Our services included the placement of gridlines and column alignment marks to set the columns. Once the ground-level columns were installed, our team provided additional data to correctly position the top of each column and ensure the structure remained within tolerance limits. TULLOCH monitored the progress of the steel erection team and would move about the site to ensure marks were ready as soon as the crew commenced a new block within the building.

Our team also supported the construction of primary structural features such as skylights, escalators and canopies by providing 3-D layouts to position and install these components.
