In January 2015, TULLOCH was retained by Pattern Energy as the geospatial expert in charge of the Belle River Wind project (100MW) located in Essex, ON. TULLOCH undertook the collection and processing of aerial LiDAR for the project site. Aerial LiDAR was flown to capture building locations and surface features to facilitate the design of the wind farm and transmission line. ALTA surveys were completed for every affected parcel and included Parcel fabric retracement, existing conditions and proposed infrastructure. Colour-coding lease sketches were also completed for each affected parcel illustrating leased and unleased lands. Topographic surveys were completed for substation and laydown areas. Sketches were also completed for all major hydro and utility crossings for permitting purposes. The Belle River Wind project was commissioned for commercial operation in October, 2017.
